If you needed another reason to hate this band here it is... Rancid's drummer just went on FOX News to brag about donating thousands of dollars of PPE to the police to help them kill innocents and beat protesters Helping the police repression against civil rights movements is soOoo pUnK! Fuck this guy and fuck Rancid. Class traitors collaborating with the state,
What a fucking asshole. rancid was quite important for me getting into punk when I was a confused kiddo and I haven't really thought about them since then so this saddens me. ACAB!
I always hated that band ever since they started and never understood the large following they got. With that said I don't really know too much about the band but after watching that clip it seems like the drummer is dumber than dog shit. Not that it really matters but that is not "FOX News", the 24 hour cable propaganda channel, but a local FOX affiliate's news broadcast. When I read "FOX News" I thought I was going to see a clip of that weasel Gutfeld, who is always trying to get people from the arts and entertainment to make appearances in hopes of making conservatives look cool or something.
rancid have literally become their name! It makes me cringe when i even hear them called punk. aint ashamed
I wonder if tim armstrongs crimes against children were being perpetrated during his time with operation ivy? If so, and if band had knowledge, then fuck them too?! aint ashamed
Can't say for sure, was never a huge fan so maybe someone else can chime in, to the point that I found out just recently Op Ivy were around me when they started and I had no idea, they played a backyard show at the Vinyl Communications studio on the same night I finished a recording there... lol
Thanks for your consideration on this, and anyone else who may have some knowledge regarding tim armstrongs behavior while with operation ivy. My interest in this matter is partly due to my love for the whole scene from berkeley califonia, from which OP Ivy originated. Thanks Much!
Not that the pigs even use PPE. And why Salt Lake City? Rancid sucks so bad. Tim Armstrong copyrighted the Crass logo, because Crass never did. Think about that one. Not only, did he steal an anti-capitalist bands logo to make money they never have off of it, but think of the effort he went into going around researching punk band logos to see which ones he could appropriate.
What's the source of the Crass trademark story? Haven't found any source and if it was true it would show up somewhere on the trademark registry so it would be easy to prove. Not that I would be surprised if Tim did that, but it's always good practice to factcheck information
