Principal over Program

I organized in Marxist spaces for a number of years. But I often ran afoul of party centralism.

Tonight, this thought came to me:

Imagine if you were a class conscious worker, and you organized based on principle rather than program. I can pinpoint specific historical examples of Marxists who made bad decisions because party centralism forced them to do so.

Imagine if Karl Leibknecht had voted against war credits for Germany right off the bat, and called for workers to stand up against nationalism and capitalism the first time in 1914, instead of when it was too late. The whole world might be different today, and for the better.
