I think I've already posted the link up here but my old band's myspace is:

www.myspace.com/sicktodeathuk

The stuff on the site are in-between demos. We did two EPs - 'Fuck Disney' (shitty anarcho-punk) and 'The Anti-EP' (written and recorded in less than a week, stronger Discharge influence) and then had a drummer change and ended up sounding vaguely like the tracks on the site. We did record another EP 'Airing our Grievances' but our guitarist still hasn't (18 months after recording) finished the tracks off. I will try to put it all up here when I get my hands on the material again.

Anyway, STD died and we're starting a new project called Threat when I get out of hospital. I will chuck the lyrics up here at some point. Threat is going to be a more 'normal' sounding punk project - every era of Poison Idea with some other influences thrown in. I'll keep you posted.

Agreed, there is a lot of good stuff up here. Drinks for all!

This is my band, still fairly new, we have some rlly rough demo tracks of some of songs, November and Cancer is what most of our suff sounds like/what our new stuff is like. Trenchfoot and Second Coming of Boxcar Jesus were songs that we wrote when we were figuring out what genre we wanted to play. We're heading to more of a hardcore/thrash punk sound now.

I wanna start a band so fucking bad. I would play guitar and do vocals, my friends Dennis would play bass, I JUST NEED A GOD DAMN DRUMMER! I've written a few songs, and I'm not bragging because I think thats lame but... I think the songs I've written are actually pretty good for crappy Hardcore. The songs are along the same style as bands like Kaaos, GBH, Discharge... you get the idea.

How did you guys find musicians for you band?

How to kill a thread....

Current band, UltraShitInferno: http://ultrashitinferno.webs.com
Horrible improvised doomgrind. Our vocalist is in grind band Joe Pesci, drummer ex-Orrin DeForrest/Marzuraan & currently in the awesome Tide Of Iron
First gig was more of an AC anti-tribute, featured Michael Gillham, ex-Voorhees on drums -

Band I was in around 1990-93, Maim That Tune
Rip of a tape of covers of old pop songs, featuring Bobs from SAS/Active Minds on vocals/guitar, Adey from SAS/Satanic Malfunctions/Disorder on drums, me on bass

Had plans to start a grindcore band called Communist Cocks In Fascist Cunts, but I got ill and the other guy got banged up for 4 years for defending himself against some fucker who attacked him for having long hair, so no go.

Currently recording abstract guitar noise as Singularity, probably not the kind of thing that most of you will like, old track from a CD given away to friends:

I know that feel to well. I actually had a class with my drummer, and we started talking about shit like Bolt Thrower and Extreme Noise Terror. Me and my Best Friend Steven then asked for him to be our drummer, and now we're Sleep Paralysis! (More shit about our band below). But if I were you I would look for a Drum Machine for a bit until you find a drummer, and learn drums on your own (they're easy, you can learn complex and fast patterns in a matter of weeks; It's punk, not that hard of a genre to play). Me being the open source GNU/Linux Junkie that I am, I would say use Hydrogen (From my knowledge, it runs on all OS's). Hydrogen is pretty good, it has a realistic sounds (to a point, realistic for Rap and Electronica), but a bit hard to configure (as in, to keep and sequence drum tracks) but they're probably >9000 tutorials on it. Also, renting sets is pretty cheap (Majority of the stores around me rent out kits for $45/month). Lastly, do the stereotypical "We need a drummer" poster and post it around guitar shops, bars, wherever you feel like it'll attract the drummer you're looking for.

BUT I do have a band called Sleep Paralysis, we are a Crust/D-beat/Grindcore/Crossover Thrash band with metal influences. We have 28ish songs done, 4 of which I don't have, and we'll be hitting every bar in a 5mi radius, along with opening for a Local Metal Band this summer.
Here is our EP, Which is not called No Talent, but Faster! Shorter! Cooler!! (We Will be selling it for $3 at our shows, just in case you think we're ok and you live in the Metro-Detroit Area)

We had a band called Decontrol back in the early 90's. We were based in NE UK and had a Conflict-style of attitude, but musically not so much... we did do Conflict & Discharge covers at gigs, but at the time I was more into ENT & Doom, with a bit of Hellkrusher, seeing as lived just down the road from Ali in South Shields.

Just started to document the whole time we were together - http://totaldecontrol.blogspot.com

On the subject of Discharge, I eventually ran the official website for several years until just recently...
