humans are meant to hunt and gather. eskimos are the healthiest people in the world because they eat raw fish and seaweed. so veganism/vegetarianism is good to fight capitalism and the enslavement, torture and murder of animals against their will in an artificial environment, but in the actual wild of this earth, eating meat would become necessary for survival at some point. there have been almost no ancient tribes on this earth who haven't eaten meat, and the trbies didn't fuck everything up like the agricultural civilizations did. at this point, war and violence are the real ills of the world. i can see how acting violently toward animals reflects onto human society and empathy/caring, and what humans are capable of doing toward each other. in fact, we do torture, enslave, and murder each other....but whether you eat meat or not doesn't mean you're going to start killing people or fucking the world up. it's the coporations, religions, and governments (as well as many other groups) that do that just fine.
