How are you listening to digital music?

Fuck streaming platforms and software made by developers we shouldn't support. I just download mp3s and listen offline, simple as that. No need for fancy players, just keep it raw and real. No support for the system!

My recent fixatiation has been turning this ATNT Captivate I found dumpster diving a while back into a MP3/FLAC player.

I was planning to buy an mp3 player for Christmas but this chunk of old came with 13 GB... and buying a 128GB microSB on Amazon is always cheaper. It's a win-win.
I transferred one of Ichiko Aoba's albums on there and it ended up working fantastic. There is a slight buzzing at full volume. However, it's a lot better than my previous method of listening to music.
I'm the type of person that loves to travel around and listen to music. So, I used Flacbox on Apple before it corrupted my files and then transferred over to Nota Player. But recently, Nota Player has been merging and cropping my original files. I have around 700+ songs, all of them I adore, and I will do anything to make sure they won't lose on me. Even resorting to... refurbishing garbage phones!

I love that everyone is posting about players while on your computer. Hiw about when you're not in front of the screen?

 

That's what I'm talking about! I've got to have music at all times, help with the brain spiciness. Like I said previously, I messed with Fiios before but they're too expensive once you get to the players that work functionally well. I'm loving the Sony NWA301 ‍♂️

 

Everything I download I also transfer to my phone and just use the default samsung music player to listen to it on the go. Pretty sure everyone else is doing it in a similar way

 

I'm kind of old-school(sounds better than just saying old lol) & I still get lots of music the same way I did as when I got home internet in the summer 2001 after graduating high-school. I download lots of music on my desktop system that I pirate on torrent sites or get for free in other ways.

I've contributed to lots of Kickstarter & similar types of campaines over the years for artists releasing new albums. I sometimes buy music on Bandcamp but I don't have much money to spend so it's not very often. I usually buy from Bandcamp on Bandcamp Fridays when Bandcamp doesn't take their cut so a tad more of the money might go to the artists but I don't know if they'll be any of those next year.

I listen to a lot of music on YouTube while using my computer. I also stream lots of music on my phone when I'm not using my computer
