I love Napalm Death. This isn't really important but I'm just wondering if Napalm Death are an Anarchist band or just a very Left Wing band? I know this pretty lame but whatever... :p

this is quoted from an interview i just read with Barney in PE magazine:
"Is Napalm Death an anarchist-influenced band? I would say that is kind of a paradox given that anarchism is kind of based around free-thinking anyway. But is ND influenced by certain bands that happen to class themselves as anarchists? Yes, on several levels of course. Personally, I moved away from labeling myself as an anarchist or assuming any kind of personal label years ago. Quite simply, I just try to open my mind and think freely. It's consistently a very refreshing way to live."

The members who are in the band now weren't in the band in the early days or even on Scum, pretty sure up through Scum they were all anarchists (I'm almost 100% certain Nick Bullen was/is), then when Metalheads started joining they were just all lefties.

Well Anarchist or not, they still had very politically/socially driven songs for at least the first several albums (I've only listened to Scum and FETO)

You should check out their split with S.O.B and the album "From Enslavement To Obliteration" as those are still more in line with the style of "Scum". After that they became a lot more "Death Metal"...I still like the first few more metallic albums of theirs a lot, the Mentally Murdered EP, Harmony Corruption, and Utopia Banished are pretty awesome in my eyes (and some later stuff too), though I don't know if your into Death Metal or Death-Grind...

That's always a good idea haha..I do think that the best S.O.B songs are on that split anyways, but "Leave Me Alone" and "Don't Be Swindle" are still pretty awesome...
