Just looking through some Antifa literature and pics on the net.

How come the flags are different, that is one with a red flag, with black at the back and the other one is opposite?

Antifa is not the same everywhere, in germoney for example we have groups with mainly anarchist orientation, mixed groups with any kind of "leftwing" attitude - and strictly communist groups too. antifa is at least around here no monolithic movement, so it's nearly impossible to speak of "the" antifa in general.

also, there's the green/black ''antispecieist/anarchists'' and the black/black ''only anarchist'' one (which is also used by some nationalist organizations (at least in germany)), so...

no uniformity, many different groups with different attitudes...
absolute uniformity would be boring, not? :ecouteurs:

Yeah noticed that there doesn't appear to be uniformity - there is a green on gold/yellow that is Celtic Antifa

Antifascist groups are often built through the unity between communists and anarchists.... So the groups with bigger marxist tendencies tend to have the red big flag with the small black flag, and it's the opposite for groups who are mainly anarchists

there was a recent german antifa-strategy paper circulating that described some new dirty trick of the fascists:
to copy the black block's and antifas image and optics to lure people into their thug squads, especially in and around berlin. i haven't seen it myself by now and still hope it's not true...

it's sad but true, at the moment you can barely recognize any difference of the antifa- and the fascist-stickers (at least in 'my' city).
both times main colors red/black/white, the antifa-flag-symbol with the two black flags is used by the fascists, general design is similar, most of the time even the text sound close to the same...

not only in berlin, and not only the stickers that look similar...

copy&paste for the sake of creating a false sense of uniformity, leading uninformed people to mix both groups up very easy.
also, excellent cover in case of demonstrations or comparable events. sadly...

yess, really bad - and it's reminding me of the G8-genua-mysteries about the "militants" that appeared everywhere out of nowhere - and despite the strict police check ups for weapons and protective gear starting on the border. their isolated actions made up a perfect excuse for the riot-cops' riot that followed, mysteriously not against the "black block" but almost exclusively against the non-violent protesters, including night raids on camps and sleeping places well after the protest ended. one guy attacking a retreating cop-vehicle was shot in the face... but most of the "black clad" militants miraculously dissapeard again.
