my girl friend ordered from crust punk and it took 5 months for her order to get to her. but its kinda good. cuz after 3 she contacted them and bitched so they sent her the order again. the two orders ended up coming a few weeks apart. not she has 2 witch hunt shirts 2 new bac patches and a ton of pins haha.

i have never really ordereed off anywhere other then studs and spikes. but like the adress hints at. i only ordered studs. but that site is good reliable and pretty cheap. gotta love studsnspikes.com

wow-i've never gotten bad service from crustpunks, only exceptions being sometimes their out of something and that they don't carry youth smalls or mediums. I've ordered from them a few times and have gotten the order within 3-5 days. They sent me free pins too.
I do like studs and spikes a lot, especially because selling single/packs of studs or spikes is banned in MA. I forget why exactly, something to do with them being dangerous weapons :/

I like a lot of the stuff on Crustpunks.com, but it's so expensive. Not the stuff really, the shipping. I can't afford 40§ for shipping alone! It's fucking crazy

Just got a ton of patches from AYP last night. Shipping was fast and prices were great, but they sent me a Casualties patch instead of a Misery patch :lmao: I'll just give it to the next chaos punk asshole I see. I don't know how they made that mistake though...Everything I ordered was political, anarcho or crust related..Maybe it was an attempt at humor? Either way I'm still pretty satisfied.

Totally agree, when I ordered from studs and spikes, it arrived relatively fast and they are quite cheap too.

On the whole, stop supporting capitalism etc, I think Ring of Truth pretty much said it. It is almost impossible to not buy a single thing, so if you are going to do it support small/independant businesses! It is the best way to go around it in my opinion.

The Bmat (that's what the cool kids call the Blast-o-mat these days) has some pretty cool cds, records, shirts, patches, etc. usually and sometimes wax trax does too, i haven't scooped the wax trax selection in quiet sometime though.

...All of which begs the question: Is dressing punk punk?

If it costs so much to look punk, and you have to look punk to be punk, isn't punk just another capitalist sub-culture buy in? Fuck, capitalism doesn't even work if there aren't people out there not getting involved (from mandatory 5-7% unemployment to refugees, we know this is true), so us not getting involved by being 'Punk' is not going to always be a good thing. Its part of the buy-out that capitalism basically reqires to keep functioning. NMaybe real punks buy stuff from co-ops and charity shops. Spinning your own wool seems to be the ideological dream here. Great, but even better: wear wool someone else threw away.

I try to stencil as much as I can and I live a bit more than three hours away from Minneapolis so I make somewhat regular trips there. Extreme Noise bitches! But I've ordered from a few patches that I felt I absolutely had to have from crustpunks and had great service. I just don't order online that much. I never tried AYP cause I seem to remember someone telling me it was somehow associated with Justin Sane. Fuck that dude. Whether that's true or not, it made me avoid their site. Plenty of other alternatives.

I read an interview with the guys from AYP in Loud Fast Rules (anyone ever read it?). They didn't mention Justin Sane or Anti-Flag once. The only association Justin Sane or Anti-Flag has with AYP is a song by the same name (or maybe an entire album, don't remember).

sounds lame, but the site punkstuff.com has decent priced items. its more or less just for shirts and hoodies and shit like that. I have not ordered from them in a few years though, so, I'm not sure if they're any good anymore.

Never had a problem with crustpunks. I've only really ordered small patches from them as that's the only real selection i've found. AYP looks shady, I'd avoid them.

I want to try Berserkerwear for shirts (I'm not that skilled in stencilling yet). They're about the same price as punkstuff but the designs look cooler.

In regards to the "looking punk" post:

There's no set "uniform" to be punk or anarchist even. There's a word for people who spend shitloads of money to look "punk" (I won't say it because i don't want to be the type of person who throws it around and sound elitist). I'm sure most of the people on this board don't belong to that group. If you can't buy it cheap (from an individual or small independent business), then make it yourself (or vice versa, if you can't make it yourself buy it cheap). That should go without saying.

I usually get my clothes from thrift stores or free from people who don't want them anymore. I order stuff once or twice a year to supplement my meager wardrobe with stuff i can't get/make at home. I'll also take torn/worn clothes and repair them. If i wan't to customize them with patches etc, I will. Otherwise i'll wear basically anything free that fits my fat ass. Fuck uniforms.

Crustpunks.com is awesome, I only discovered it recently though...I got DRI and Electro-Hippies shirts there a few weeks ago (they came 6 days after I ordered them, they were actually at my house before the site even said they shipped), and soon I'm getting shirts for Discharge, Varukers, Crucifix, Minor Threat, and Infest, as well as an Infest poster, from there (soon meaning I ordered them a few days ago). When I get some more money I'm gonna get a black denim jacket and start covering it in patches and buttons of whatever bands...gonna get me an Infest backpatch for it. No studs or spikes though, I fail to see the point in those.

Unless you like a band that hasn't put on a show in 20 years, in which case you're shit outta luck?

Unfortunately, my style dictates that I buy all of my clothes from Savile Row.

If you CAN stencil, then sure. If you can't make the stencil I don't have a problem buying from someone independent who can. Just don't buy from major companies who are trying to sell us back our own scene.

Everytime I've ever wanted to stud something, I've ended up changing my mind. I'm kinda glad I haven't spent the money on studs/spikes yet. I've been considering getting 77 cones to put on this black denim vest I've been working on, but if I wait long enough I'm sure I'll change my mind on that too. Less is more.
