this whole episodic nightmare reminds me of a quote from a chumbawamba song, "if we don't break rules, nothing will change, if we don't the law it will always stay the same, step out of line, increase your demands, if we don't break the law, we just go round and round and round and round..."

The jist is, if they really make this illeagel, fuck them, film them anyways, get enough people involved that they out number the naysayers. do it guerilla style, do it wearing balaclavas or ski masks, if california was to do this, it would make me want to tape those pigs even more to see what secrets they are trying to hide from the public. fuck their consent. I realize not everyone wants to be arrested for their actions, but in some cases it is necessary... but i suppose that's another thread. (lightbulb in head)

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This is what I was talking about. In the case of the video above had he stood across the street there would be nothing they could legally do. Had they arrested him he would have a case against them. It's a matter of giving them "probable cause". While probable cause may not be enough for a conviction it is enough for them to make an arrest. In the case of the video above the probable cause is the statute against filming on federal property.

The fact that he continued to film and later posted it on YouTube shows that there was no violation of his 1st amendment rights.

ahhh now I understand the disconnect...you are talking about that specific situation and I am talking about the three states and their willful trampling of the peoples rights.....duh, federal property vs. public property is a whole other can of worms

Its sad to see this topic is already buried. This shit is more important and becoming more and more relevant...

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts2638

At the bottom of the article, it brings up this topic already about limiting people from video tapping police officers.

This video is fucked up, but its as equally fucked up, in my opinion, that noone other than the girls friend that got punched trys to stop the cop. I dont know about you, but i would have been over there helping her as well.

And they say hes gunna get further training? Thats fucking bullshit, this guy should lose his fucking job as a pig bitch.

That video is taken COMPLETELY out of context! Plus, don't you know how hard it is to be a cop? Like, harassing jaywalkers then punching them in the face is, like, so fucking hard, you know!

Now think about this then: If that footage wasn't filmed then we wouldn't have such issues with ppl questioning police integrity. It only undermines the public's faith in the pigs when scenes of police brutality are filmed. This situation should not continue! ban all filming of cops, let our good officers get on with their jobs of protecting property rights and ruling class interests. Now fuck off you bunch of hippie commie pinko bastards!!!

So correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you were a victim of police brutality, in above said states, and you caught the whole thing on film, and went to court and used the tape as evidence of police overreaction, would they dismiss is completely as evidence and charge you extra for having the tape?

If that wasn't clear enough, does what they tape portray become obsolete altogether? If you show the cop beating the shit out of you, would they even, for a minute take into consideration what the tape shows?

Its a trend for judges to dismiss the video because the officers did not consent to it. I said its a TREND, the article states that its not an actual law (though that might change, if you keep reading), but the chances of you using video footage like that in those states to prove your case will most likely result in dismissal of the video or you in jail. Which is completely fucked up.

Haha, your a funny fuck butch. :lmao:
