Two ska bands for Melbourne folk to check out, the Kujo Kings and Resignators.

Always have a great time at the Kujo Kings gigs and I went to the Resignators last night. They were brilliant! If you see any of them playing, make sure you check them out and start skanking! =P

The No Service Project from the PA riot-ska scene (No Cash and Team Spider) pretty sweet shit, MC Develin features on one of their tracks.

Local Brisbane bands Prophet Margin and Easy Steve and The 50 Bags are pretty sweet. Prophet Margins street ska, kinda similar to The Dumpers. The 50 Bags are reggae, fuckn good reggae. especially with a blunt. but all reggae is good with a blunt.

I never got too far into ska, more ska influenced punk. Although Hellcat records has some good old style ska...The skatalites,King Django,The Slackers,Westbound Train......i know they are more mainstream but i have always been into The Bosstones..Question The Answers is a great album.

Hmmmm, when I first joined this site, I remember there being ALOT of anti-crack rock steady, CV, LOC bashing, so I tried to remain off topic. There probably still is, but I'm here to say, I equally love crust punk and ska, and the CRS bands made this simple for me, all lovely wrapped up in a bunch. Talk your worst on Stza, because I give two shits less, I care more about the messege being portrayed and less about whose attempting to portray it.

HOW DARE YOU? He is a world renown authority on all things, and your attitude is typical of someone he could pick apart with 17 pages of lucid and eloquent mouth diarrhea.... :poop:

i fucking hated streetlight manifesto at first, but a good friend of mine was completely obsessed with them, and i kinda got into it. they're alright i guess, but only sometimes. especially since all their songs are fuckin' 5 minutes long.

although i'm sure stza is about 107% full of shit, i have to admit that i love all the crack rock steady stuff. i love the aquabats because they're ridiculous, but only their old stuff. any other remotely ska shit i like would be- big d and the kids table, mustard plug, the specials, and i hate admitting to op ivy.
