Who as heard this before and how old are you? Should you mature, mellow out as you get older? Have your tastes in music changed in the last ten years? Anyone have band tattoos they regret ?

i`ve actually never gotten that and i`m 21. i wouldn`t really be offended if anyone told me that, i`ve never felt that anyone expected me to start listening to whatever is considered "grown up music". I don`t think you should mellow out, everyone changes when they get older though, thats different.

Grown up music? hahaaha. That's classic ;) . No idea what that is. Maybe classical music? Nah, you're never to old to enjoy any kind of music. Ok, i'd think it's weird if you were to listen to nursery rhymes or something. but hardcore, punk, metal, there's no age limit imo. You can expand your musical tastes as you get older to include mellower music as a counterbalance. You may even move away from punk and explore other styles of music but you can always get back into it. I mean it's energy, right? And that's what HC gives you.

Nope, don't regret any of them. They're part of who I am. Most of my tats look like they were done in prison haha, but I like em like that. It's like, everyone has tattoos now and mine are different!

I get a bit of that from my family, especially about the shirts I wear that will keep me from achieving one's real goal in life: finding a decent job. I think my mom hasn't got over the fact that I am into punk yet (though it has been 15 years!). To her, even bloody Deep Purple is extreme music.

What they call "maturity", I call resignation, be it about music or politics.

That must be infuriating. At least in my opinion I think I'd be a lot angrier.

I've actually never gotten that though and I'm almost 23. Also no band tattoos I regret. But whenever anyone asks me what my tattoos mean I answer "fucking punk anarchy" because it's way easier than stumbling on about personal matters and long explanations suck total.

wtf is the point of that page? its not even funny D:
making fun of something you`re part of to truly show off your intelligence and wittiness, especially when you use material thats been repeated thousands of times before, very original. they should have a how-to for assholes like the one that wrote that.

    edit: I think (s)hes serious.

I'm 45 and have been listening to and playing punk since 1977, at first I was called homophobic slurs for my taste in music and way of dressing and expressing myself..I've seen it come full circle, they actually play the Clash on 'classic rock' radio stations these days which always gets a chuckle and a snicker from me...still put on shows, still support 100% DIY efforts in many areas of life, I guess at some point in my late teens early 20's anarchism became more important than punk to me, but only ever so slightly...still play D-beat live as much as I possibly can, some years are more active than others..this year was a bit slow with only about 14 or 15 shows...but I get the feeling next year will be bananas...the people that truly love you will never question what you're about, the ones that have an agenda will show themselves for what they are... <3

That page posted is a joke. It's been around since I was in middle school and they even have a how to be a hippie/goth/raver ones too. Clearly a parody, but I'm sure some gullible folks use it as a guide to fit into a subculture overnight :ecouteurs:

I'm 44 and got into punk back in '82. After high school I went to go live in germany for 7 years and when I came back to south africa my old punk friends had all either moved away, become racists or just "grew out of it" :p . I got into the psytrance scene for a while, still, always felt like a rogue punk. My friends think it's cool that I'm still into punk, go to gigs with me. My parents have accepted it. Anyone doesn't, they can suck my dick :lmao:
