En Psychro (‘In cold blood’) were formed in the summer of 2011 in Cyprus and are part of the DIY scene. Their influences vary from Hardcore Punk and D-beat, to Crust and Thrash Metal which were molded together to form the band’s extreme sound.

The band consists of Giorgos Karakasian (‘Εntos Ton Teichon’ (Within the walls), ‘Aposynthesis’) vocals/guitar, Marios ‘’Punkunin’’ Mina (‘Grotesko’ (Grotesque), ‘Entos Ton Teichon’ (Within the walls)) bass/vocals, Stephanos Miliatos (‘Grotesko’ (Grotesque)) guitar/vocals and Achilles Vasdekis (‘Grotesko’, Solitary Sabred, Terminal Disease, RUST) drums/vocals.

The idea to form ‘En Psychro’ came about when its current members decided to start something new in addition to their bands (‘Grotesko’ and ‘Entos ton Teichon’) and immediately started composing their own songs. The band’s first live gig came a month later (September 2011) when they performed at Skapoula Youth Festival in their hometown of Nicosia along with Methismena Ksotika, Mouchla and Antidoto after which the band devoted their time in composing their own songs.

En Psychro entered the studio in November and have recorded live their first self-titled demo/EP, staying true to their DIY beliefs.

    En Psychro Biography

En Psychro (‘In Cold Blood’) were formed in the summer of 2011 in Cyprus as a D-Beat HC Punk band, out of a shared desire to express ourselves through the DIY movement. Being aware of the difficulties and the contradictions which we would have to face, we consciously chose to reject the reasoning and practices of advertising, sponsors, ‘specialists’ and middle men.
