I had no idea but this just recently happend in Scott county, this county is right beside mine.

GATE CITY — About 25 Ku Klux Klan members and supporters Saturday afternoon stood on the steps of the Scott County Courthouse, protesting the recent discipline of three students at Twin Springs High School.

The peaceful event drew about twice that many onlookers, not counting those who drove by in cars and trucks — including one black man in a pickup truck who as he drove by said he had “prayed” the Klan would come to his church and another black man in a truck who said he wanted his child to see Klan members.

The event — marked by periodic chants of “white power” — started about 2:30 p.m. and lasted a little more than 30 minutes. Gate City police and county sheriff’s deputies briefly blocked a side street so the group could move from a parking lot where they gathered and put on robes and hats about 2 p.m. They later moved back across the street, all with no physical confrontations, only some occasional hecklers.

Gary Delp, a Dungannon resident and imperial wizard of Virgil’s White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, said the purpose of the event was to question the 10-day suspensions of three white male students at Twin Springs after a Jan. 21 investigation into the smell of marijuana and “strong cologne” in a boy’s bathroom.

He and other protesters said a fourth student, who they identified as Hispanic, received no suspension after his probation officer had him take a drug test and the test did not detect marijuana in his urine.

Superintendent Greg Baker could not be reached for comment Saturday, but copies of a discipline report sent to the parents of two suspended students outlined the general investigation and results for two of the three suspended students.

Klan members and officers from Tennessee, elsewhere in Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina also attended and spoke.

Parents of the other three students, including two mothers who attended the event, took their sons for a drug test the following Monday. They gave out copies of tests indicating no marijuana was detected in the two students’ urine, as well as discipline letters from the system.

Carol Compton said she wasn’t notified by the school of the 8:30 a.m. incident until 2:45 p.m. and would have given permission for her son to be drug tested. A second mother, who attended the event but did not speak during it, also said she also was notified late in the day.

Compton said she’s gathering signatures on a petition and plans to bring up the matter before the Scott County Board of Education.

“My son is innocent,” Compton said during the rally, after which she spoke with a reporter. “The school board thinks they’ve heard the end of this — not by a long shot.”

Ok, so...I don't see how the "white race" was accosted here, to the point they had to call in our noble protectors--the KKK. I'm sure if the parents had shown the school the tests shit would've been fixed. I noticed it only said two of the three white kids tested negative...that third kid needs to come hang out with me They were hanging out in a bthroom with a hispanic kid, so the kids probably aren't racist themselves. The moms, however, called in the Klan making them stupid racist pieces of shit. These kids are probably embarassed as all hell, especially since the joint probably just hadn't been passed to them yet. Maybe if they had probation officers they'd have been tested off the bat. See what behaving gets you?

I know a lot of people especially on this board have problems have problems with skinheads where they reside. For me that's not the case, in fact I have only seen skins at probably one show I've been to since 04 and they were from Knoxville Tn.

Around here it's more of the klan and what not... I would stamp all of them out if I could. That being said I would rather have to deal with the chickenshit cowards of the klan then the more violent skinhead movement.

Hopefully I didn't come off like I was bugging about it, that wasn't my intention. Back when I was a skinhead I didn't bother with making sure people knew the distinction as I figured people will believe what they want regardless so fuck 'em. It wasn't until I got out of it and back into punk and got more into left-wing politics that the issue started getting to me. As I associated with more and more anarchists, punks, crusties etc and learned the views some of them had on skins and lumping them together with bones that I started getting..I dunno...defensive i guess.


SoCal is thick with bones in some places. We have gangs like PENI and Nazi Low Riders, as well as random little crews and individuals here and there. Florida (where I've lived and where I'm actually moving back to) is a hotbed for bonheads as well. Found out recently that one had stabbed somebody and they found the knife in my mom's yard. I had a few run-ins with bones when i was a teenager in NJ (yet another hotbed for bones--man I move from one nazi breeding ground to another). Won some, lost some. The kicker is when i was little older in upstate ny and BECAME one (a story that I've told on here before, not proud of it). Luckily that was short lived (though I was a skin long before that, as well as after). The little bit of guilt I have I thinks adds extra fuel to my hatred for neo-nazis. With the internet, these dudes are popping up everywhere. Luckily so are we
