Anarchy started as a punk movement, rebeling against the mainstream that determines who is an outsider. Punk in now mainstream, there is nor more underground.
Up those 18th century punx... haha, its funny cuz its true
No, to both. fuck_stupid_names I'll feel like we're being pranked or something.

i don't like folk shit, i'm sure there's crap out there that you could do with out as well. just because you don't agree with someone, that means that they shouldn't have opinions? wow way to stand up for shit you "pretend" to believe in. no wonder most people think that "punks" are idiots who just like to get high on drugs and be destructive. because people like you are portraying the stereotype of "say you believe it, but don't back it up with logical reasoning, or hold to convictions..what so ever" nice job, punkmar77. i truly hope that people do not follow your prime example, and realize that it is ineffably stupid to judge someone's ideals and opinions when most of the world is judging and putting yours down as well. great job of "unity" by the way. nice, nice, big round of applause for hypocrisy.. by the way...is sarcasm okay, or do you judge people for being smart enough to use it, and try and make them feel bad for their originality, gumption, and intelligence..because you don't understand it?? oh and yeah... peace out bitches...WHAT (fuck you) jes p.s. if i ever find out that you have something nice, that you don't deserve, i'm gonna blow it up with fire crackers and chilli..haha

Ignoring the recent shit talking.... I only made this thread to contemplate the individuals own part in creating/sustaining a capitalist system. Not to make anyone feel bad about themselves but to maybe recognize the problem and take steps towards positive change. Of course most people have to pay for basic necessities like food, water, clothing... but they're are other options. Boycott McDonalds and eat crap like that as least as you possibly can, shop at second hand and underground stores... you've heard it all before I'm just making it clear that no one should get themselves down over it

I can't really think of anything I buy other than baby stuff, food, the occasional article of clothing or the occasional tattoo mag. Beer once in a long while, but I'd love to learn to homebrew. Mainly diapers and shit, kids eat money. I have an mp3 player but that was given to me.
Anarchy is a lot older than Punk, and yeah, there's a lot of mainstream, fake Punk, but there's still a goddamn underground, shit entire sungenres of Punk remain pretty underground...
Rebelling against goverments, revolutions, yes is older. But anarchy as a movement, from my research has stemmed from the punk movement. As for the underground vs mainstream... Maybe its just where I live, but there is no underground. Probably why Im moving, cants stand the society that is where I live. Nothing to do ever, and the meaningless threats just piss me off.

Well your research is wrong by over 100 years, it is in no way responsible to punk but punk does owe to anarchism, maybe you should hit the books a little more...

My list is...
Gas for my car. Electricity for electric punk band/comfort/entertainment. Made through obviously detrimental ways, even "renewable" or "green" energy. Anything made of metal, pulled from deep inside the earth and somewhat toxic. Zippers, metal buttons, sewing needles, eyelets on boots, screws and nails to hold my stuff together, wiring in amps, guitars. My job is construction, and a result of me wanting money. building permanent structures is pretty criminal. Also I pay taxes as a result of my job, twice on everything, income and sales. Food produced through agriculture. Agriculture marked the dawn of civilization and began the process of overpopulating the earth with human beings.
Pretty much everything I use is an act of hypocrisy, and I am realizing that everything I once believed in as a squatter and person who refused to participate in mainstream society has pretty much gone out the window. The last semblance of morality I cling to is exemplified by not having children with my wife.

Yeah taxes suck. Politicians have to get money for vacations and hookers from somewhere though. Worst part is, they just take it without consent, at least with my job. I don't know how the taxes work with construction (my own stints in construction were always under the table). building permanent structures is pretty criminal
Ever live in florida? Or the high desert in southern california? You can live in a tent or build a hut, but the first bit of weather you get your "house" will blow away. I don't think shelter is criminal. Food produced through agriculture. Agriculture marked the dawn of civilization and began the process of overpopulating the earth with human beings.
Personally, i like not having to forage through the woods looking for berries everytime I'm hungry, but to each their own. The last semblance of morality I cling to is exemplified by not having children
Unless you're talking about how YOU personally shouldn't have kids....you'd better watch that shit. There's quite a few parents on this board. I can see having a problem with everyone producing like 10 kids, but having 1 or 2 is hardly immoral. "Morality". Psh, fuck morality. That's a word for republicans/christian fundementalists.

yes, of course the notion of an objective right and wrong is ridiculous as we all have access to such education as we do now. having children is fine, of course it is contributing to human over population and I like to think I am doing my part, and of course children people have had can be the pride and joy of their lives, giving them a reason to persevere and helping them to live a fulfilling life. My best friend has 2. I'm not judging those who have children, it is just a small contribution we can make as individuals, if we choose, to help with the human overpopulation problem, if the person in question believes the human population is too high. One that I have chosen to make, so far, in my life. I never thought I would have a job or live indoors before 3 years ago, so I won't say I will never have children. And sure, we can look at civilization as this great thing that helps us to live, I just try and take as objective a stance as I can, considering the suffering of all living things involved. Regardless of that, humans have lived in many different climates without scarring the landscape with permanent structures and without diverting the major water ways for hundreds of thousands of years, it is only in recent history that we have begun doing these things, and now people consider new developments necessities rather than luxuries. Not to argue really, just trying to explain the thought process that led to my opinions about my consumerist ways, and not trying to influence anyone to consider ecology or animals, really I don't care, but when communicating with others it is important to agree on some sort of a mutual reality or we won't understand each other.
Also, people probably do all these things, and that's fine, but more people use metal than have kids, just 'cause I don't do it doesn't mean I think it's worse than the things I do do. It's just way easier for me to live my life without kids.

Yeah overpopulation is a major issue, i don't want to sound like I don't take it seriously. The main places where overpopulation is at it's highest are third world places where due to such a drastic class divide, the people are so poor that sex is the only luxury they can afford and birth control costs money they don't have (though America is not far off). So I see it more as if we work to eliminate the class system, that can help end overpopulation. If someone wants to not have kids, that's cool. Even better would be to adopt. I support birth AND abortion. They key word in pro-choice is "choice".
