    Treblinka Biography

There are at least four bands using the name Treblinka:

    1) Treblinka was a black/death metal band founded in Täby, Sweden, active from 1987 to 1990, when it changed the name to Tiamat. Treblinka consisted of vocalist/guitarist Johan Edlund (Lucifer Hellslaughter), bassist Jörgen Thullberg (Juck The Ripper), guitarist Stefan Lagergren (Emetic) and drummer Anders Holmberg (Najse/Auschwitzer). This unit released the 1988 demo Crawling In Vomits and follow up tape The Sign Of The Pentagram in 1989. Also emerging that year would be the Severe Abomination EP. Treblinka recorded their debut album Sumerian Cry, which was released under the name Tiamat through CMFT Productions in 1990.

    Line up:
Johan Edlund - vocals, guitar (Tiamat, River's Edge, LucyFire, Dark Age, Brainwarp)
Stefan Lagergren - guitar (Tiamat, River's Edge, Expulsion, Mr. Death, Judge and Jury)
Jörgen Thullberg - bass (Tiamat, Mr. Death, Expulsion)
